Python Job: APPRENTICE DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER

DATA SCIENCE ALGORITHMS AND TECHNOLOGY.

As an Apprentice Data Science Engineer, you will have the opportunity to learn data science and its application to sports, and the betting industry. The successful applicant will work within the data science engineering team to develop, test and deploy models into production. Alongside this, you will be spending 20% of your time studying for a Masters Degree in Data Science. This degree is fully funded as part of the UK Apprenticeship Program.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS AN APPRENTICE DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER:

• Create statistical and machine learning models for use-cases throughout the organisation

• Data engineering of sportsbook data assets to assist in DS model development

• Establish and monitor robust data flows between DS products and the rest of the organisation

• Implement DS products in Python

• Create automatic tests to ensure accuracy of DS products

• Build advanced data-driven analytics tools for DS product monitoring

• Research new approaches to optimise the performance of all models and data science processes

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required for this program.

• Experience using Python and it’s application to data science and data engineering.

• Experiencing with object-oriented programming is beneficial.

• Some understanding of data science and statistical modeling principles will be considered an asset.

• As this program is partially funded by the Government, we can only accept applications from candidates who are based in England.
